Tournaments are initiated by very a simple wizard. After initial creation the whole tournament can naturally be reshaped. When you create the tournament, you go through the following 4 steps.
- Select the tournament type. You have 9 different types to choose from.
- Select your template.
- Select your round(s) and cours(es). Select from the extensive set of courses already registered in Golfersfield. If a course is missing, you can always add it as well.
- Invite contacts & friends. You can of course import contacts from you personal address book.

In Golfersfield you can compete on parameters such as score, points, gir (greens in regulation), putts, closest to pin, longest drive and more. Further, you can make your own scoring parameters if you so please. You can create a standard stableford tournament, your own Ryder cup style tournament or a totally customized leaderboard.
All leaderboards are instantly updated and you details down to player or summaries of several rounds. Administrators can add scorecards to registered or unregistered players. All you need is an email address.
Expert system analyses the participants' game and advice on improvement.
The system is based on setting a current and target handicap level. This drives all analysis and results in the game:
- After the golf game you will see how well your points, score. putts, gir and scrambles compare to your goal handicap.
- On the range, you will be told where your range shot success ratio should be at on your current handicap and based on your goal handicap. In this way you can very easily see how well your performance compares to how well you will be playing the game on the golf course.
- Golf statistics integrate the engine and shows how well you perform over any time period in relation to your targets and goals.
